In the world of podcasts, Nightvale is a mountain, though not everyone believes in mountains.

Harper Collins was generous enough to send me a preview of this book, so while not a full review, it should give us an idea of what to expect.

To quote the sample I received, It Devours! follows "the interactions of two young people who want desperately to trust each other, and the terrifying, toothy power of the Smiling God."

For anyone who's read the first Nightvale book or listened to the Welcome to Nightvale podcast, you know what kind of story telling you should expect. This fits in perfectly. For anyone not familiar with this world, you're in for a treat.

It Devours! is another story set in the fictional town of Nightvale where conspiracies theories are true, strange is totally normal, and there's absolutely nothing to see. Definitely not. I wouldn't listen to Old Woman Josie.

In the world of podcasts, Nightvale is a mountain, though not everyone believes in mountains. If the sample I received is any indication, Nightvale will be regarded no differently in the world of literature.

This book seemed like it's gonna be a lot of fun to read and I can't wait to pick up a finished copy. It's available everywhere October 17th.
