Comic Review - Curse Words Vol. 1 by Charles Soule & Ryan Browne

New this year from Image Comics, Curse Words follows a bad ass wizard who's sent to destroy earth, but instead grows attached, and sets up shop as a wizard-for-hire while protecting the planet from doom.

Our main character just goes by "Wizord" and is accompanied by a talking koala bear named Margaret who seems to have gathered quite a following on Twitter. #TeamMargaret.

Now that Mr. Wizord has abandoned his duties to destroy earth, his powers are revoked, and he's forced to find magic in the little things (like gambling and that one scene in Titanic) and "believe" in order to recharge, and fight back against the people sent after him to finish the job.

This is by far one of my favourite new releases from Image in the last couple of years. It's absolutely hilarious, the world building is great, and I honestly can't get enough of it.

If that review isn't enough for you, just look at the beard. The beard alone is worth the cover price. Major beard-envy from this guy.
